Yesterday, we received an inquiry for the repair of a natural gas pressure regulator. Upon checking our records, we found that this valve was manufactured in September 2018, as part of a two-unit order, specifically DN80 3″ 150LB A216Gr.WCB. Currently, one of these units requires maintenance, and the end-user has approached us for a replacement, as the distributor that originally purchased these valves no longer exists.
Unable to locate the distributor, the end-user has turned to us, the original manufacturer. It is evident from the site installation that the valve was installed vertically, which contradicts our recommendation for horizontal installation. Despite this, our pressure regulator has been performing well for over five years, which sufficiently demonstrates the reliability and practicality of the valves produced by THINKTANK.
Recalling the past few years, the economic downturn has posed challenges to various industries. Facing difficulties and intense price competition, some companies have prioritized performance over service integrity, adopting aggressive and irresponsible strategies to secure contracts. Due to pricing issues, we have had to forgo many potential orders, not because we didn’t want to sign them, but because it’s a well-known fact that no business operates at a loss; profitability is only achievable by cutting costs on unseen parts, often at the expense of quality and service duration.
Quality and service are outcomes that only become apparent after an order is placed and are only proven over time. An order is just the beginning. At THINKTANK, we remain true to our original mission. We will not compromise on quality for the sake of pricing or orders. We would rather refuse potential orders than compromise on the service and quality we can deliver. For instance, while high-temperature and high-pressure valves can be perfectly casting raw material using mature and advanced technologies in Europe and America, the stability of castings above 1500LB in China cannot be 100% guaranteed. For safety reasons, we only offer forged steel valve bodies, which significantly increases costs but ensures the safety of the end user’s production processes. We can’t take chances when making industrial valves, let alone take risks that may cause heavy losses to end users.
We do not quote for valves with vague parameters, focusing instead on what we can realistically accomplish to ensure the quality of each valve, leaving our customers without concerns. We do not pursue large-scale production capacities; instead, we focus on improving the quality and performance of our products.
We take our time to manufacture each valve carefully. We take our time to meet customers who share our values. We take our time to serve every customer thoughtfully, regardless of the order size. We take our time because time will prove the reputation and reliability of our brand.
